Forever Remembered (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and the privacy of the loved ones you entrust to us. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: name, e-mail address, mobile number and delivery address.
- Order details: plaque selection, engraving text and payment reference (we never store card details).
- Memorial content: biographies, photographs, videos, music and dates you provide for a memorial page.
- Visitor contributions: names and messages left on a memory wall.
- Technical data: essential cookies and, with consent, anonymous analytics.
2. How we use it
We use your information only to fulfil your order, create and host the memorial page, communicate with you about your order, and improve our service.
3. Private memorial pages
- Each memorial is published at a unique, randomly generated address that cannot practically be guessed.
- Memorial pages are marked “noindex” and excluded from search engines and sitemaps.
- We never publish a directory or list of memorials.
- QR codes are generated only by our studio staff and engraved directly onto your plaque.
4. Sharing
We share information only with trusted operators who help us deliver our service — payment gateways (e.g. PayFast, Yoco, Ozow, Peach Payments), courier partners, secure cloud storage and e-mail providers — under written agreements that protect your data.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to its processing, by e-mailing angeliqueb77@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
6. Security & retention
We use encryption in transit, access controls and regular backups. Order records are retained for five years for tax purposes; memorial pages are hosted for life unless the family asks us to remove them.
